We started this farm to slow down, reconnect, and raise food that matters.
Wild Meadows Farm (formerly Green Pastures Farm) is our family-run farm and business. It all began in early 2018, at a point in life when I knew I needed something different. I wanted to slow down, bring our family closer together, and return to something real and connected to the land. That’s how Wild Meadows Farm was born.
As I write this, it's incredible to see how far we've come. We're welcoming new customers every week – usually 5 to 10 folks reaching out, excited to try what we’re producing. It’s both encouraging and motivating, and it pushes us to keep growing. We’re expanding our beef herd by bringing in more cows, and for the first time, we’re raising our own chickens and pigs!
In the meantime, we're sticking to what we set out to do: raise animals the right way and provide our customers with quality food they can feel good about. Thank you for being on this journey with us! We appreciate everyone's continued support.
To bring local, nutrient-dense food to tables across Ontario.
I had the privilege of growing up on a farm – eating meat raised by my family and community, vegetables grown in the garden, and learning where our food comes from and what it takes to produce truly quality, nutrient-dense food. Sadly, that experience isn’t common for most people today.
As the business has grown, we’ve had the opportunity to get to know many of our customers and reflect on the bigger picture – how vital local, healthy food is to our community. Whether it’s someone who simply wants to know where their food comes from and who raised it, or someone who’s experienced real improvements in their own or a loved one’s health by focusing on real food, they all care deeply about how the animals are raised and the quality of what they’re eating.
Our goal at the farm is to build a customer-focused business that provides high-quality, healthy, and reasonably priced products to loyal customers across Ontario. And when we say reasonable, we don’t mean cheap – we mean fair pricing that allows us and our team to make a living doing what we love, while also offering our customers food they can trust. It’s a win-win.
We believe it’s essential that as many people as possible have access to locally grown, nutrient-dense food. The benefits are far-reaching: healthier people, more connected communities, ethically raised livestock, and a better environment.
For all of these reasons, we’re both incredibly grateful and genuinely excited to be doing what we do. And if you’re new here, welcome! We’d love the opportunity to be your farmers.
