What is organic maple syrup?
It may seem that all syrup is organic – however, organic producers are bound, unlike other producers, to:
– Sustainable practices in the forest. We do not remove competing trees. We have very regulated tapping guides and maximum taps per tree. 95% of our bush work occurs on foot.
– No chemicals present in our production process. Other producers have the option of using much more efficient and handy materials for cleaning their equipment, sanitizing drill bits during tapping, etc. We are bound by strict guidelines.
