This curry powder is the signature blend of Kawartha Spice Company. The blend is a complete curry powder made with whole spices, including turmeric, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, black pepper corns, spices. No need to add Cumin or Garam Masala. Curry was brought to British Guiana(Guyana) in the 1800s by indentured labourers from India. The ingredients were adapted to the new environment and became a delicacy like no other curry. The flavour is distinctly Guyanese.
Curry Powder can be used to make a full-bodied curry consisting of meat, fish, vegetables, garbanzo beans, mangos, and more or can be sprinkled on any dish, such as omelettes, pizza, soups, rice or any sautéed cooking. The curry powder is flavourful and delicious.
